When Schneider Electric refreshed its commercial EV charger line-up in July 2026, it did more than launch new hardware — it sent a clear signal to property owners everywhere: managed AC charging is now good enough to run offices, apartment complexes and overnight fleet depots without defaulting to expensive DC fast chargers. It also pairs with a cloud-based charging station management system (CSMS) that lets owners monitor performance, manage access and monetise charging across multiple sites.
Crucially, Schneider's own announcement via PRNewswire framed the update as a response to "increasing pressure on power availability, infrastructure and energy costs" — the exact tension that decides whether a site should install AC or DC.
